  1. Hi, I’m Leon here, I would like to ask what’s the best settings for taking a large group, cause everytime I get a high aperture and pump my ISO, I get noise, I can’t possibly put a slow shutter , so yeah. Hope you can get back to me! =)

  2. Excellent

Yeah, use spot metering. But if the meter does get tricked, you know what to do. Use Exposure compensation. Meter can easily get tricked if the guys are wearing black and the girls are wearing white or vice versa. All you do is adjust the speed and it will take care of the exposure.

Hey man! I need your advice. I will be doing a post prom shoooting outdoor and need to know what metering to use. This are my thoughts: Face/Head Shots use Spot Metering. And for hole body shots use Centerterweight metering. Am I in the right direction here? If not, please advice how to process. This will be my first client and photoshoot and I want to do is right 🙂 Thanks!

I appreciate that man. I don’t know some are thinking when they do tutorial stuff. I believe in quality than quantity. Make 2, 3 videos a month but do it in a way so everyone gets it even if they don’t own a dslr. Don’t forget, light bar can get tricked which means you may have to purposely over or under expose the picture to get the correct exposure. What the video on exposure compensation and metering modes. Keep clicking!

Dude, the way you explain this stuff is really easy to understand and since I’m still learning I need all the help I can get. AND IT’s FREE!!! Honestly just by watching your videos I already mastered the light bar and all my shot are getting the exposure spot on! If you were from Virginia I will love one on one classes with you 😛

I have seen so many videos on youtube, yours are super detailed and well explained. 😛

Damn dude! I’ve never seen anyone watch as many videos as you have in the last 24 hours haha. Next thing you know you’ll be teaching me. 🙂 Thanks for watching. Don’t forget to rate. You already know I’m a nice guy!

You will have to watch my video on focus plane to understand what area would be in focus. If the person is standing straight, it doesn’t matter which eye you focus on as both the eyes would be on the same focus plane. If the person next to him fall in the same focus plane then that person would be in focus as well.

  11. when you are looking at your subject, you will see a main focal point show up on your camera. Try and get that focal point on the subjects eye. There are other video’s that he post telling you about your focal points and how to adjust them.

  12. I love your video’s thank you so much for sharing!!! But, not to be rude, the music in the background is very distracting for me. It distracts me when I am trying to listen to you. Again, I apologize if this comes across as being rude. Just something I thought I would mention. Thanks again for sharing!

That’s interesting. They’re soooo white! I’m always picky about that particular issue because there are so many bad photoshoppers out there that overproduce the images. Great videos, thanks for making them.

No, those 2 were unedited. In the first one the focus was on the eye and in the second was the focus was o the nose. I actually don’t even have photoshop or know how to use it. I use lightroom3 and now will switch to LR4 after the bugs are fixed.

On the pictures of your nephew, did you whiten his eyes on photoshop? They look overdone to me.

Not yet, brother. But come summer time there will be LOTS of night photography videos. I’d probably book a room in Atlantic city to do a few videos.

  24. Great video jib! I am really learning a lot from your videos… Do you have video tips on Night Photography?
